Dalla Bona - time to go home
The 21-year-old midfielder has been a regular for The Blues this season but revealed that he has turned down a new offer to stay at Stamford Bridge and sees his future as being back in Italy.
"My manager and me were talking with Stamford Bridge staff to extend my contract but we didn't find an agreement," Dalla Bona told dailysoccer.com.
"Here at Chelsea I'm having a great experience, but I'm Italian and I dream to come back to my country in the future."
Dalla Bona said he is glad he did not join Venezia in the summer and is enjoying his time in England but wants to experience playing in Serie A - something he has never done.
"I knew that last summer there was an offer from Venezia that was close to being transformed into a deal, but I refused because staying at Chelsea was better for my career.
"I say this with all respect for Venice team but in England I was having a good chance to grow as a football player. Now I think that something has changed."
He has been strongly linked with a move to Milan and Dalla Bona admitted he would welcome such a switch.
"I knew something about that deal but, as you know, I'm under a contract with Chelsea so I must be quiet, play in the best way and wait to see if an offer comes.
"I must say, just to be clear, that in England I enjoy myself, I play in one of the top teams, I have a great relationship with the Stamford Bridge fans but I dream to have a chance to play with one of the big teams of Serie A.
"It could sound strange but I have never played in Serie A and in the future I want to try playing there.
"It will be great but, according to what I know, there is no offer and no deal between Milan and Chelsea. For sure It will be great for everyone to play with champs like Maldini or Shevchenko.
"I have a great friend playing there, Massimo Donati, and often I talk with him about the team. They have a top squad but they're having some problems."
