BVB move for Honduran starlet

HONDURAN Under-20 starlet Victor Bernardez has emerged as a target for German giants Borussia Dortmund with the player's club Montagua confirming that Matthias Sammer had registered his interest.

Montagua president Eduardo Atala affirmed that negotiations between the two clubs would take place some time this week and a deal could be sealed within the next seven days.

The 19-year-old defender is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in his homeland and a host of European clubs have been keeping tabs on the teenager.

Dortmund have adopted a policy of snapping up talented youngsters from abroad in recent seasons with 21-year-old Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky and French duo Guy Demel (20) and Ahmed Madouni (19) all arriving at the Westfalen Stadium.
