Podesta out for season
SEVILLA and Uruguay have been hit by the news that Inti Podesta has had an operation on his right knee that rules him out for the rest of La Liga season.
Podesta underwent the operation at the Fremap clinic, a result of previous problems with his knee, this was required to clean the joint.
The player has been suffering from cartilage problems and will now go through a rest period of two months before starting his come back.
The 23-year-old has played 15 games for Sevilla this season, but the last was back on December 8 against Athletic Bilbao. Exactly how fit he will be for Uruguay's World Cup campaign remains to be seen.
Meanwhile Jose Antonio Reyes will be next to undergo medical treatment following an injury to his head.
