Jesper's World Cup hopes
The former Manchester United winger has rescued his career at Goodison Park following his nightmare injuries that threatened to end his career, but he is now back fit and looking for a fairytale return to the national set-up.
"It's obvious that the National Team and the World Cup is a dream, that is the same for all footballers," said Blomqvist.
"I am surprised and tremendously pleased that I am there I am today.
"My vision was to get back to play football, but I have taken small steps forward all the time.
"It feels really good and I have the desire to play for the National Team
Blomqvist last played for his country in 1999, but is no back on track and hoping to play in his second World Cup in Japan and Korea this summer.
"It's worth much sweat and tears and I am working extra hard to get to experience something like that again.
"My strongest and sweetest memory from the World Cup was the reception when we came home. That will always live fresh in memory."
