Foxes 12 adrift after Charlton draw

LEICESTER'S plight at the bottom of The Premiership continues to look desperate despite their 1-1 draw with Charlton at Filbert Street on Saturday.

With nine games left The Foxes are still 12 points adrift of safety and it looks bleak for Harry Bassett's side.

The home side did take the lead in the 20th minute through Jamie Scowcroft when Brian Deane laid the ball off to Matt Piper who beat Luke Young for pace before crossing from the left for the former Ipswich striker to glance home his header.

However, Jason Euell levelled matters three minutes from the break when Anders Svensson danced past a couple of defenders before passing to Graham Stuart who crossed for the gangling striker to hook the ball into the net.

Despite plenty of effort from both sides in the second half, neither team could break the deadlock and Charlton now move level on points with Tottenham.
