Gun raid at Kanu's home
The incident occurred on Sunday morning at the Nigerian's home in Hertfordshire, were the masked raiders were demanding the keys to one of his luxury cars.
The 26-year-old was not at his home but it is thought that his brother Henry, was tied up before the thieves left with money and clothes from the house, after they discovered that the car they were after was not on the property.
"A man aged in his mid-20s was tied up in a bedroom," said a Metropolitan Police statement.
"The suspects demanded keys to a vehicle. However, the vehicle concerned was not at the premises.
"The suspects then made off by means unknown. During the incident, the victim was threatened with a handgun but was not injured.
"He managed to phone a relative who told police. The victim does not reside at the address."
Officers from Enfield CID will be investigating the incident, and it is not the first time Kanu's home has been targeted by thieves, he was also raided two years ago.
Meanwhile, Gunners midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst is set to undergo an operation on his injured knee in America on Wednesday.
The Dutch midfielder suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury during last month's game with Fulham and he is set to be out of action for nine months.
The former Rangers ace is set to be treated by surgeon Dr Richard Steadman, who has operated on Alan Shearer, Patrik Berger, Jamie Redknapp and Ruud van Nistelrooy in the past.
