Bazeley's Gills move collapses
GILLINGHAM have confirmed that Darren Bazeley's proposed move from Wolves on a free transfer has collapsed due to the midfielder failing a medical earlier today.
The 29-year-old was at the Priestfield Stadium earlier this afternoon hoping to seal his switch from the Molineux club
Bazeley has been linked with a move to Gillingham before, with manager Andy Hessenthaler initially offering £300,000 for his services.
He joined Wolves following ten seasons at Watford, where he made over 200 appearances. The midfielder has been suffering from injuries, and found himself out of favour in Dave Jones's promotion-chasing side this season.
Bazeley has been told he does not figure in the club's long-term plans and will be allowed to move for nothing, but it appears that the move will not be to Gillingham.
