Wigan break record for Ellington
WIGAN have smashed their club record transfer fee to sign Bristol Rovers striker Nathan Ellington for £1.2 million.
Wigan unveiled Ellington alongside fellow new signing Jason Jarrett on Thursday morning.
20-year-old Ellington quickly agreed terms at The JJB Stadium, after the two clubs agreed the record-breaking fee.
"We're very excited to bring Nathan to the JJB Stadium," said Wigan manager Paul Jewell.
"We've been very impressed with him and his record speaks for itself.
"I am looking to improve the side going forward and see Nathan as an important addition to the squad."
