Ismael closer to Lens exit
LENS defender Valerian Ismael looks certain to leave the club after he turned down the offer of a new contract.
Lens boss Joel Muller had wanted to keep the 26-year-old at the club but he has not responded to the contract extension and looks set to leave Felix-Bollaert at the end of the season.
His former club Strasbourg are interested in bringing him back to the club but that move could depend on whether they gain promotion back to Le Championnat for next season.
Several English sides are also interested in the former Crystal Palace defender, as are German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.
League leaders Lens have stuttered in recent weeks in the tense run-in to the title, but Ismael still looks like leaving despite the club being in the Champions League next term.
