Atletico want Coloccini

Coloccini is currently on loan at Alaves from Milan and has been in commanding form in Spain's top flight.

His performances have already seen him tracked by Manchester United, while Real Madrid and Barcelona are monitoring his progress.

However, Atletico now appear to have taken a shine to the 20-year-old and are prepared to discuss the possibility of taking the Argentine on loan next season.

One stumbling block, though, could be Coloccini's recent assertion that he is keen to remain with Alaves, either temporarily or permanently.

A further season on loan at Mendizorroza has been mooted while Alaves could also activate the ‚é¼12 million buy-out clause in the defender's contract.

It is not the first occasion Atletico have enquired about capturing Coloccini as they were also interested when the young ace opted for Alaves.
