Inter head Chivu chase
Ajax coach Ronald Koeman has recently admitted he is resigned to watching the international walk out of the Amsterdam ArenA, either at the end of this season, or next.
The likelihood is that Chivu will be heading for pastures new this summer, providing interested suitors can match the buy-out clause in his contract.
That is believed to be $25 million (£17.5 million), and it remains to be seen whether that would deter the likes of Inter from firming up their initial curiosity in the 21-year-old.
Neroazzurri coach Hector Cuper is on the look-out for a full back and Chivu would certainly fit the prototype he is searching for, given his prowess raiding forward.
However, should Inter launch a raid for Chivu, they may face stiff competition from Manchester United, Real Madrid and Parma for his services, with the trio all monitoring his progress.
If Inter are rivalled for the defender's signature, a summer auction could develop for the chance to add the highly-rated Chivu to their ranks.
