Boateng to face FA review

GEORGE BOATENG has landed himself in hot water with the FA after an incident in Aston Villa's 2-2 draw with Leicester City at Filbert Street.

The Dutch international lost his temper and picked up the boot of opposing striker Paul Dickov - who collided with Mark Delaney to cause his footwear to fall off - in the match and looked to throw it in the direction of the East Stand.

Graham Poll, the match referee, confirmed that he will speak to the FA and ask them to review the bizarre incident.

"I will be contacting the FA to ask them to view a video of an incident which took place at the end of the game," said Poll.

Villa chief Graham Taylor played down the incident describing it as "low-key"

"The referee called me in and drew something to my attention but I think it is a low-key situation," added Taylor.
