Milan confirm Madrid Moreno move
The former Alaves ace has endured a miserable time at Giuseppe Meazza since his move last summer failing to show his best form and hold down a regular place in the Rossoneri's side this season.
The 27-year-old is well down the pecking order at Milan making just 16 appearances and he is behind Andrei Shevchenko, Filippo Inzaghi and Jose Mari in the fight for a place in the team.
Milan are likely to be keen on doing a deal, but Galliani insists that no move has been finalised.
"The only deal that we have for Javi Moreno is with Atletico Madrid," AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said at the club's headquarters.
Atletico are set to win promotion back to La Liga this season and they are keen to bolster their side for next term back in the top-flight.
Moreno is thought to be keen on a move back to Spain and he is expected to be one of a number of new faces at Atletico for next season.
