County snap up Pemberton
Stags manager Stuart Watkiss (pictured) offered the 26-year-old an improved deal to stay at Field Mill, however the left-sided defender opted to join Carlton Palmer's side at Edgeley Park.
The former Oldham Athletic star, who was instrumental in The Stags promotion campaign making 38 appearances, joins new-signing Paul Lambert at County.
Meanwhile, Watkiss has offered star striker Chris Greenacre a new contract, in a bid to avoid losing another key member of his squad on a Bosman transfer.
The 22-year-old striker has attracted significant interest from First and Second Division sides, after bagging an impressive 27 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions this season.
Watkiss wants to retain as many of his star players this campaign and has also offered deals to Allen Tankard, Scott Sells, Jamie Clarke and Wayne Corden in a bid to maintain continuity at the club.
In a continuation of the managers shake-up at Field Mill, Les Robinson and Shayne Bradley have been transfer-listed after becoming surplus to requirements.
Elsewhere, David Kelly, Alistair Asher, Adam Barratt and Adam Murray have left the club.
Kelly was brought in on a short-term contract to help out boost the club promotion bid, whilst Murray has returned to Derby County after spending the season on loan.
