Forest release five players

NOTTINGHAM FOREST will release four players from their squad list this summer, as the Division One club look to rebuild for next season.

Andy Gray, Kevin Dawson, Gareth Edds, Niall Hudson, and Damien Lynch will not have their contracts renewed when their current deals end at the end of June.

The 24-year-old Gray, son of former Forest player Frank, joined the City Ground club four years ago for £200,000 from Leeds United.

However, Gray failed to make an impression with Forest, having made only 41 appearances during his spell with the Midlands club.

Lynch also joined Forest from Leeds when he was released last season by the Elland Road club, but he failed to make impression in the squad at first team level.

The trio of Dawson, Edds, and Hudson have all come through Forest's youth system, with Dawson and Edds having made a few first team appearances between them but Hudson failing to make a single first team debut.

Forest boss Paul Hart will look for marked improvement next season from their sixteenth place finish in the Division One this campaign.
