Orient swoop for Thorpe
LEE THORPE has completed his free transfer move to Leyton Orient from cash-strapped Lincoln City and signed a two-year contract at the club.
City, who have just had their application accepted for the club to be placed into administration, were forced to let the striker walk away from Sincil Bank due to cost-cutting measures.
The 26-year-old has bagged a creditable 12 goals in the Third Division this season, despite the club finishing only two places from the foot of the table.
Thorpe spent five seasons at Lincoln scoring a total of 58 during his time at the club, after joining from Blackpool in 1997.
