Dalla Bona in talks with Chelsea

SAM DALLA BONA could be set to snub Milan and Internazionale, after revealing he is in talks with Chelsea about extending his contract.

The gifted Italian midfielder has been persistently linked with a move to the city of Milan, with the two giants of the Italian game vying for his services, but he has now stated an extension of his stay at Stamford Bridge could be on the cards.

The 21-year-old said: "We have been talking about a contract so we will now see at the end of the season what happens.

"I have to make a decision and so do the club. I have to decide everything with the club and my family but I like it here.

"The manager likes me; the club, the supporters and the atmosphere are all good so I'd like to stay. But we will have to see.

"I could be here in one year's time and be playing for Chelsea or I could be somewhere else. The main thing is to be playing well for my team."

Dalla Bona had lost his place at the start of the season, as Claudio Ranieri grew frustrated with his failure to clarify his future.

However, after a move to Italy failed to materialise he re-established himself in the Blues squad and Ranieri would be happy for the youngster to stay in London.
