Turks slam `40%' Roberto Carlos
ROBERTO CARLOS has been heavily criticised by the Turkish management for his comments about Brazil's opening game.
The speedy full back unwisely suggested that Brazil could beat Turkey playing at 40 percent of their potential - inevitably causing outrage in the opposition camp.
Team manager Can Cobanoglu summed up the bad feeling by slamming the Real Madrid player's attitude.
"I well remember how he cried frantically when Real Madrid lost the Super Cup," said Cobanoglu.
"What percent of his ability did he use in that match?
"Everybody will see that you cannot get away with teasing Turkey."
