Lens keeping Diouf options open
EL-HADJI DIOUF'S agent has met with Lens chairman Gervais Martel and concluded that they will be open to offers for the player, amid rumours of interest from Liverpool.
The Reds are thought to be preparing a £12 million bid for the Senegal marksman though of course they may face competition if he has a good World Cup.
Gerard Houiller has been kept informed on Diouf's development by his former assistant Patrice Bergues, currently part of Lens' backroom staff.
Diouf has told fans he will stay for one more season in the North of France, and Lens are happy to improve his salary, but this may depend on what offer he receives.
The world will be watching Diouf on Friday when Senegal kick-off the World Cup against France.
