Bluebirds let Jeanne go

CARDIFF CITY have told midfielder Leon Jeanne that his services are no longer required.

The 21-year-old recently failed a drugs test, although the second sample is yet to be tested as the player failed to give one at the time.

However, The Bluebirds have finally lost patience with the former Welsh Under-21 international and he will now be looking for a new club.

It is yet to be proved whether Jeanne is guilty, but Cardiff will not be retaining him even if he is found innocent.

If the player is found guilty, he would face a 10-year can from football, as he is already serving a two-year suspended sentence for testing positive for a class 'A' drug.

Jeanne only moved to Ninian Park in 2001, after being released from QPR - with similar troubles dogging his time at Loftus Road.

The obviously talented player now faces an uncertain future and will be one of hundreds of out-of-contract players looking for a new club this summer.
