Besiktas rival Chelsea for Real star
The Blues have agreed a double deal with the Spanish giants for Flavio Conceicao and Cameroon international Geremi.
But though the Stamford Bridge outfit are in pole position to snap up the Brazilian they face late competition from Besiktas.
The Turks want to entice Flavio Conceicao to Istanbul on loan for next season with an option to buy the midfielder at the end of the campaign.
Whether Real would be prepared to accept this offer is debatable, particularly when they have a firm cash bid on the table from Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also being linked with a surprise move for Valencia misfit John Carew.
The towering Norwegian has regularly been touted for a move to The Premiership but it seems unlikely that Chelsea would be an ideal destination for Carew.
With Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Eidur Gudjohnsen firmly established as Claudio Ranieri's first choice strike pairing, Carew could expect no better than a berth on the bench.
