Ono - Shinji needs surgery
JAPANESE star Shinji Ono will finally be able undergo an operation on his small intestine.
The World Cup star, who has been in impressive form for the co-hosts, delayed necessary surgery on his guts days before the summer's tournament.
The Feyenoord player, however, has now decided to go under the knife.
Ono will then take a recuperative break for two weeks in July before starting pre-season in Holland on July 14.
Feyenoord start their season with a warm-up tournament against HSV, Kaiserslautern and Fenerbahce.
