Ronaldinho will not miss final

RONALDINHO will serve an automatic ban for his controversial sending off against England, but Fifa have confirmed that the brilliant youngster will be available for the final should Brazil qualify.

Fifa had the power to extend Ronaldinho's ban if they considered the Paris Saint Germain player had deliberately intended to injure England's Danny Mills.

The Paris Saint Germain player received his marching orders when he went into a tackle with his foot slightly high, but although he did go over the ball the majority of people believed that a straight red card was extremely harsh.

Mexican referee Felipe Rizo Ramos had no hesitation in sending off Ronaldinho, and although the automatic one-match ban for his dismissal will not be rescinded, the forward will be relieved that he will not miss the final.

"No-one on the pitch thought it was a red card," said Ronaldinho about the tackle.

"Even Danny Mills, who I was with in the doping room later, said it wasn't a heavy enough tackle to deserve a red card."

Brazil face Turkey in the semi-final after expelling England from the tournament, and could potentially meet South Korea or Germany in the final.
