Bayer showing Cha interest
Cha, the son of Asia's Player of the Century Cha Bum-kun, has been used as a substitute by South Korean manager Guus Hiddink during their remarkable finals run, yet has obviously done enough to impress Calmund.
Cha Doo-ri was particularly impressive coming off the bench in the co-host famous 'Golden Goal' victory over Italy on Tuesday in Daejeon.
Calmund said: "We may offer him a contract and then loan him out to another German club that's not quite at the very top level, so that he can get more experience."
The Bayer supremo has remained friends with Cha senior, ever since the South Korean played for the Leverkusen club during the 1980's and was part of the Bayer's 1988 Uefa Cup winning team.
