Celtic eye Korean ace

CELTIC are said to be keen on South Korean World Cup sensation Lee Chun-Soo who has helped the co-hosts reach the last four of the competition.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is regarded as one of the most promising players in Korea and his energy and work-rate are thought to have impressed Bhoys coach Martin O'Neill, who is working for British television in the Far East.

Lee's club Ulsan Hyundai Horang are set to sell the player, with his value at its optimum, and a transfer fee in the region of £2 million should be enough to secure his services.

Many of South Korea's superstars are set to earn lucrative moves abroad on the back of the World Cup with Lee, Hwang Sun-hong and Park Ji-sung all being lined up by European clubs.

"I would imagine most, if not all, will find themselves clubs," Lee's Scottish agent Tom Callaghan, who has nine other Koreans on his books, told the Daily Record.
