Fifa announce Golden Ball 10

FIFA have announced the 10 players who are in the running to lift the Golden Ball trophy.

The trophy is new to the World Cup, and goes to the individual deemed the Most Valuable Player at the Finals.

There are three trophies, Gold, Silver and Bronze, with a media delegation selecting the winners.

Not surprisingly, Brazil are well represented with four candidates, while fellow finalists Germany have two.

Co-host nation South Korea have one nominee, while surprise packages Senegal and Turkey each have one representative apiece.
