Engonga eyes Premiership
FORMER Spanish international Vicente Engonga is looking for a move to England, after leaving Real Mallorca.
The 34-year-old was out of contract at Mallorca and has decided to move on after five years at the Son Moix.
The player's UK representative Gino Culbertson has exclusively confirmed to planetfooball.com that Engonga is hoping to move to England before the start of the new season.
"He is still regarded as one of the most solid players in Spain," Culbertson explained.
"He is capable of playing in defence or midfield and would definitely suit The Premiership and England.
"He is on a Bosman and any team would clearly benefit from his experience."
Engonga played more of a defensive midfield role for Mallorca, but he is more than capable of playing in the heart of defence.
"We have already had some enquiries from England," Culbertson added.
Engonga, who has 14 Spanish caps, moved to Mallorca in 1997 from Valencia, before which he spent time at Celta Vigo and Valladolid.
