Everton agree Yobo fee

EVERTON have agreed a fee for Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo, and are just waiting for the player to agree terms with the club.

The Marseille star has already attracted glowing praise from Toffees David Moyes, who is keen to bring the powerful youngster to The Premiership.

An impressive showing in the World Cup for disappointing Nigeria culminated in the final group game against England - in which Yobo kept Michael Owen quiet throughout.

Yobo has not been at training for Marseille, who are ready to sell the player for a fee of around £3 million.

All that remains if for Yobo to agree terms with the Premiership club, and the player looks increasingly likely to be playing in the English top-flight next season.
