Grabbi wants to prove critics wrong

BLACKBURN ROVERS misfit is Corradi Grabbi determined to prove that the club did not make a mistake when signing him from Ternana last summer.

The Italian striker endured a miserable first season at Ewood Park after his £6.75 million switch.

The 26-year-old failed to settle in England and returned to Serie B side Messina on loan last January.

Grabbi has been continually linked with a permanent return to his native homeland, but the hit-man is keen to prove his critics wrong and show Rovers boss Graeme Souness he deserves another chance in The Premiership.

"I don't have a problem with staying at Blackburn and I'd like to stay here for another three years," said Grabbi.

"I went back to Italy last season because my family had problems with settling in.

"But now I'm back in England, I hope all that's behind me and I just want to do my best for Blackburn in the Premier League."

"I'm really excited about the new season and I'm ready for the challenge.

"It's very difficult settling into a new country, especially when your wife has just given birth to a new baby boy.

"But I've found it easier coming back this time because I already know everyone here."
