Celestini wants Troyes exit

CONFUSION surrounds the future of Fabio Celestini - with the Swiss international reticent to return to Troyes.

Although Rennes have submitted a bid for the player - who is on sabbatical after the birth of his son - Troyes insist that it does not match their valuation of a player who is also attracting interest from Marseille.

"The fee offered by Rennes officials was not really enough," said chairman Daniel Vacelet.

"About Marseille, I have not heard anything for around three weeks.

"Even their interest does not change anything, Fabio is under contract and we do not want him to leave.

"Our new coach Jack Bonnevay wants to keep him, and I never promised that he could leave.

"Bonnevay recently met with the player's agents, Jean-Marie Cantona and Pascal Olmeta, but no solution was found."
