Laslandes issues quit threat
The 30-year-old has had a torrid time since his £3.6 million move from Bordeaux to Stadium of Light, scoring just once in 13 appearances.
Black Cats boss Peter Reid is happy for him to leave the club but will not allow him to go on a free transfer, and is still awaiting offers for him.
Following a disappointing loan spell with Cologne, Laslandes was even hoping for a similar temporary move but again Sunderland refused, and are just looking to offload him permanently for a fee.
Laslandes will now return to Sunderland if there are no firm offers for him, although he says that his desperation to leave the club could lead him to quit as a professional and turn out for a local amateur side.
"I still want to play and fight," said Laslandes. "I just had a dark last season, during which, I lost time.
"If, on August 31, I am still at Sunderland, I will probably change my mind and I could decide to sign on with a little amateur club in my area."
