Saudati`s Empoli move falls through
Saudati is a peripheral figure at Atleti Azzurri Stadium and had been lined up for a switch to Serie A rivals Empoli but the two clubs could not reach an agreement.
The marksman insists he is happy to remain with Atalanta despite being faced with a lack of first team opportunities.
"I would be happy to continue my career in an Atalanta shirt," said Saudati. "But I cannot hide that there are some problems between me and the club."
Saudati will now discuss his future with Atalanta after Empoli confirmed they have pulled the plug on signing the striker.
Empoli sporting director Pino Vitale admitted the Serie A newcomers had become frustrated in their attempts to land Saudati and would not be reigniting their interest.
Vitale said: "We are not going to buy Saudati."
The striker will not be gaining any fans' support in his quest to force his way into the team as he was booed during the first week of pre-season training.
