Cha set for Leverkusen switch
Cha, who turns 22 next week, has flown to Germany from Incheon airport with his father and Korean football legend Cha Bum-kuen to conclude negotiations with Leverkusen.
"I want to play well and learn a lot," said Cha. "I will do my best in order to play in the World Cup four years from now.
"I don't care about money. That will be taken care of when my skills are acknowledged.
"I want to play for Leverkusen, even if I am asked to be a reserve. I wish the team will be decided soon so I can fully concentrate on playing."
Cha was born in Germany and his father played for Leverkusen and Eintract Frankfurt in the 1970s and 80s.
He is expected to sign a two-year deal, but is likely to be loaned out to Eintract to gain invaluable German football experience.
