Carini staying put despite interest
The 22-year-old goalkeeper is very much part of Juve's long-term plans, but due to the fact that Serie A does not have reserve team football, the Turin outfit want him to move on loan to gain some action.
Carini arrived in Italy from Danubio in January 2001, but he is yet to play a league game for Juventus.
The Italian champions recognise Carini's abilities and will not sell him, but are now scouring Europe for a club to loan him to.
Barcelona were strongly linked with him, but they moved for German custodian Robert Enke instead.
A spokesman for agent Francisco Casal Fernandez has confirmed that Celtic, along with Dutch champions Ajax have made enquiries for the Uruguayan, but have not made firm bids.
"It seems to be that Celtic and Ajax have made enquiries about Carini," he told calciomanager.
"But nothing has happened since, negotiations have not been continuous.
"Carini only wants to play for great clubs, which Celtic and Ajax are, but there is nothing from them.
"The transfer market at the moment is very quiet, nobody is buying, but we are not in any hurry.
"Fabian will remain where he is."
