Carbone saga could finish Bantams - Law
The Italian striker still has two years to run on his present contract on a reported £40,000-a-week and he is insisting on seeing out the remainder of his current deal.
Carbone along with 18 other players had his contract cancelled at the end of last season as the club tried to recoup some money, but the Italian is determined to get paid what he feels he is owed
The cash-strapped First Division club cannot afford to pay the former Sheffield Wednesday star with the player looking to be paid up for the remainder of his contract - which is believed to be in the region of £3-4 million - if he leaves Valley Parade.
The Bantams were placed into administration last May and they face expulsion from the Football League if they are unable to come up with a financial rescue package by 8 August.
The club owe vast sums of money to creditors like Registered European Football Finance and to many players who are believed to not have been paid for three months.
Law insists that the club's future hinges on the decision of Carbone, who has been linked with a return to his native Italy with Como.
"He has said 'I am owed the money, I am due it and I want it'," Law told Radio Five Live:
"What he (Carbone) has to realise is that in three weeks time there will be no Bradford City Football Club. He will then get a cut of nothing.
"Without the Carbone deal being sorted out we cannot afford to carry on.
"We would not survive if he was to come back."
