Tininho on trial at Mechelen
The Brazilian was deemed surplus to requirements at De Kuip, and was allowed to leave on a free transfer after his loan move to Belo Horizonte in his home country lapsed.
Tininho arrived in Rotterdam in 1998 from Brazilian side Portuguesa, and was a regular in his first season, but lost his place to Tomasz Rzasa and was unused last term.
He moved to Belo Horizonte on loan and was expected to stay in South America, but he apparently fancies a return to Europe.
Mechelen offered him a trial and he will spend a short period in Belgium trying to earn a contract with the Jachter De Kazerne outfit.
The player could be an attractive option for Mechelen, as he is available on a free and proved a talented defender during his earlier spell in Rotterdam.
