YORKE TO RESUME PARTNERSHIP WITH COLE
Dwight Yorke will hope his move to Blackburn will kick-start his career after a couple of fairly idle seasons at Manchester United.
The striker, who joined for £12.6 million in August 1998, notched almost 50 Premiership goals in his four seasons at Old Trafford and scooped three championships, an FA Cup and European Cup winners medals.

However the performances of Ruud van Nistelrooy last term pushed him further down the pecking order and he did not appear for the first team after the FA Cup defeat at Middlesbrough in January.
Yorke's move to Ewood Park reunites him with former strike partner Andy Cole. The pair notched 97 Premiership goals in their four seasons at Old Trafford together including 39 in the 1999-2000 campaign:

With two former European Cup winning strikers in their ranks, Rovers have a real chance of making a good impression in their forthcoming UEFA Cup campaign.
