Duscher over Beckham incident

Duscher's challenge on Beckham in the Champions League caused the England midfielder to go airbourne and upon landing the England captain sustained his metutarsal fracture.

Although Beckham recovered in time for the World Cup, he was not at his best form during the competition, yet England still managed to make the quarter-finals, losing to Brazil 2-1.

Speaking to the Spanish media, Duscher said: "Yes, I have recovered psychologically from the Beckham case.

"I always extract the positive nature of things and it has served me as an experience.

"Luckily everything is forgotten and now when I've been on holiday in Argentina, people have gone through it with me."

When asked for his thoughts on how the English media treated him, Duscher said: "No, I am a hard footballer. 

"I have never had the intention to injure the opposition.

"In the centre of midfield there are always challenges and you cannot let rivals dominate you."
