Ince joins Wolves
The former England captain will move to the Molineux club on a free transfer after rejecting a new contract offer last month to stay with Premiership side Middlesbrough.
The former Manchester United, Internazionale and Liverpool ace will take part in his first training session with Dave Jones's side on Tuesday as Wolves gear up for their season opener away to Bradford City on Sunday.
The hard-tackling 34-year-old had been linked with moves to Bolton Wanderers and Italian Serie A side Brescia over the summer but Ince has decided on a move to the Black Country, as Wolves aim to win promotion to The Premiership this term.
Ince joins veteran defender Denis Irwin at the club and the Wolves boss is delighted to have snapped up two experienced players for their new campaign.
Jones told the Wolves official website: "Like Denis Irwin, he is going to be a fantastic asset to the football club.
"It's no mean achievement to attract Denis and Paul to Wolves to add to the other big signings we made last season and credit to the board for backing us.
"Paul will add desire and drive to the team and he is a great addition to the squad."
Ince expressed delight with his move to Wolves and the veteran admitted he had been pondering retirement after leaving Boro at the end of last season.
Ince said: "It's a real buzz for me to be here.
"When I decided to leave Middlesborough last season, because of family commitments and travel arrangements, I was close to quitting and going into coaching.
"That's when I got a call from Dave Jones. "He was telling me what he is trying to do this year and how unlucky they were last year.
"I remember that because I watched the First Division and I thought Wolves would go up.
"It must have been painful for all involved, especially for the fans because they were fantastic."
The midfielder admitted that Wolves have handed him a major opportunity to prove he still has the quality and impact as a player, despite his age.
Ince added: "This is a big chance for me. I didn't think I'd play again but this is it.
"I hope to deliver the same as I have done throughout my career.
"I've always been a leader on the pitch.
"I'm obviously not as young as I used to be but there's not much I can't do apart from score goals.
"I can help the younger lads and they can probably help me.
"It might take a few weeks to reproduce the form and shape I'd like to be in and the Bradford game might have come too early but I'll go out and train and see how it goes."
