Bakayoko looking for L'OM exit

MARSEILLE striker Ibrahima Bakayoko has said that he is looking to leave the Stade Velodrome after his lack of first team action.

The powerful Ivory Coast hit-man was top scorer last season for l'OM with eight goals but was still not a regular in the starting line-up.

The 25-year-old has notched 22 goals in all from his three seasons with the club but has never been able to command a regular start.

He has fallen out with several of the officials at the club as a result and is now hoping that new boss Alain Perrin will allow him to leave.

"Last year I was the club's best scorer and passer while being a substitute all the time," Bakayoko told L'Equipe.

"I have never been trusted in Marseille and I have always been put in difficult conditions.

"I am now ready to study any offer made to me in order to play again normally, and if I can leave, then I will leave."

The former Everton and Montpellier man is under contract at the club until 2005 and he may struggle to find a new team with the current lull in the transfer market.
