Diouf`s Senegal quit threat
Metsu stepped down from his post after the African nation's World Cup heroics to take up a coaching job in United Arab Emirates with Al-Ain.
The Frenchman had hoped to return to the Senegalese helm at the end of his ten-month contract.
But Senegal's federation chairman Malick Sy has slammed the door shut on Metsu's aspirations and insists there is no route back.
Liverpool striker Diouf, though, has taken umbrage at the stance and claims he and his compatriots could be forced into drastic action if Metsu is not restored to his former role.
"With all the players from the squad, we will soon have a meeting in Paris to talk about the future of our selection, and above all decide if we stop or not," Diouf told France Football.
"It is out of the question to let the situation deteriorate towards our selector. All the players agree - we want to keep him (Metsu).
"We can't imagine going on without him. He has left for just ten months and wants to come back after.
"Meanwhile, his assistants, Mr Bocande and Mr Sarr, who are very competent, will deputise.
"I respect Mr Malick Sy but I hope he will respect our choice too. Bruno must stay with us.
"If they don't want to give us back Bruno Metsu, why should we continue?
"If it is the only way to let our officials understand our desire, we won't play any more for the national team."
