Ronny seals Villa move
The former Manchester United stopper agreed the deal on Friday and could make his Villa debut in Sunday's clash against Bolton.
"It's always good to prove a few points. I feel fit now and I'm looking forward to getting started," Johnsen told Villa's official website.
"I feel fine. I had a problem called 'Jumper's Knee' which I had problems with. But that's fine now. I've come through the medical and I'm just looking forward to getting started.
"I'm really happy to be here. It's gone well. I saw the game yesterday and now I'm just looking forward to getting started."
"My pre-season was a little bit here and there. I went back to train with United for a little bit and then returned to Norway.
"But now I've got a club and can settle down. I can get back to playing on a regular basis.
"Villa were mentioned quite early in the summer and when the name came up again, I was quite happy to discuss the move. There was interest from other clubs, but this was my first choice."
