Jardel piles pressure on Sporting
MARIO JARDEL has threatened to go on strike if Sporting Lisbon cannot agree a fee for the player with Real Betis.
The prolific Brazilian has stated that he will not stay in Portugal, and is desperate for a move to Spanish suitors Betis.
"I hope that I can complete my transfer to Betis quickly," said the outspoken marksman.
"If for some reason something goes wrong I will return to be with my sons in Brazil - at least until December."
It remains to be seen whether the player will pressure Sporting into a quick compromise, but his goalscoring record is a clear indication why clubs are prepared to take a risk on the striker and his attitude.
