Tigers send Morrison packing
Morrison had been on a month-long loan deal with The Tigers but manager Jan Molby has sent the 20-year-old back to Hillsborough midway through the period.
Molby admitted Morrison's match-fitness was below expectation, meaning he was unable to fill the void created by the injury to Stuart Elliott.
"Owen was struggling for fitness and that's basically the reason why he has gone back to Wednesday," Molby told the club's official website.
"The way things are at the moment we need players who are match fit but Owen wasn't which is why we felt it best that he went back."
The Northern Ireland winger made two appearances for Hull but now faces the challenge of resurrecting his career with The Owls.
On linking up with Hull, Owls boss Terry Yorath felt it was an opportunity for Morrison to put his career back on track but the youngster will have to return to the drawing board.
