Vitesse sign teen starlet
VITESSE ARNHEM have added talented Austrian teenager Patrick Maier to their ranks.
The 16-year-old has been brought in from Rapid Vienna after being lured to Holland by the prospect of working at a quality youth set-up.
The striker is set to learn his trade at the Gelredome, and is relishing the chance to improve before pressing for a place in the first-team in two seasons` time.
In other news, Mamadou Zongo is set to go under the surgeon`s knife for another knee operation.
The young striker has been sidelined for over a year, and broke down when on the brink of a return to action.
Zongo has not played since February 2001, and it could be some time before he returns to action.
