Macca surprise at Italy rumours
STEVE McMANAMAN has insisted that he would be surprised if he was the man to move to Internazionale in the winter as part of the deal that took Ronaldo to Real Madrid.
The former Liverpool winger has been mentioned in the Italian press as the man who will transfer to the Italian Serie A, along with Santiago Solari, but although he is aware of the speculation, is bemused by the reports.
"I've certainly seen the rumours," said McManaman.
"But as far as Solari and I are concerned we are not leaving Real."
The England international has fought against leaving Madrid virtually since arriving in Spain - rejecting overtures from England and Italy in the past.
