Roberto Carlos eyes England move
The Brazilian World Cup winner has criticised Serie A football, but expressed his affection for The Premiership.
At 29, the left back is in no great rush to quit Real, particularly after the summer arrival of his international pal Ronaldo, but he seems certain not to see out his career in the Spanish capital.
"After proving myself in Italy and Spain, I would like to play some time in England," he stated.
"The English have a special form of soccer because it is sincere, authentic and the players there do not throw themselves to the ground to obtain decisions.
"Italy has a very serious football game and it is not watched like a spectacle.
"The only important thing is to win and it does not matter how.
"The great Italian team has, at the most, one or two great players."
The South American has long been linked with Manchester United, after Sir Alex Ferguson declared his admiration for the player, but a number of Premiership clubs would probably be interested should he become available.
