Inter to land Solari
Solari was one of the players mooted as the part exchange offering for Ronaldo, but at the time no deal was found.
However, it appears that Inter have finally landed their man - and the chances are that it will be as part of the deal that saw the Brazilian World Cup star move to Spain.
Solari may yet remain at Real until the winter, as the transfer deadline has passed for the summer.
Real's Steve McManaman had recently stated his surprise that he and team-mate Solari had been linked again with moves to Italy, but it appears there was some truth in the rumours.
The Argentine winger is well known to compatriot and Inter coach Hector Cuper, who believes he would be a valuable addition to his squad.
Inter missed out on the Serie A title on the very last day of the season, when a loss to Lazio handed the Scudetto to Turin giants Juventus, and are determined to last the distance this season.
Although Ronaldo has departed, the Nerazzurri added Lazio's prolific striker Hernan Crespo to their ranks, and certainly have the talent at the club to be major players in Italy and Europe this season.
