Citizens suspend Dunne
The former Everton man was left out of manager Kevin Keegan's side for The Citizens` clash against Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
City's chief operating officer Chris Bird refused to elaborate on the alleged incident that Dunne was suspended for by the Maine Road club.
In a club statement, Bird stated the matter would be investigated further this week before a decision is made on whether any action is taken against the 22-year-old.
The statement read: "Manchester City have today suspended Richard Dunne for a serious breach of club discipline pending further consideration by the club during the course of the coming week."
