Celtic`s Kleberson bid denied
The Paranaense press has stated that agent Eder Zenlucas is representing the Scottish Premier League champions in negotiations for the attacking midfielder.
The player's representative, Mario Iramina, has confirmed that there is an offer from the Glasgow giants, but Petraglia has blasted that all the talk in the local media is "lies".
"In terms of concrete offers, this was the most interesting that has appeared," stated Iramina.
After performing well for Brazil in the Far East, Kleberson was expected to seal a lucrative move to Europe with Roma and Leeds United among the clubs reportedly keen on his services.
However, nothing materialised before the transfer window closed, despite the understanding that meetings were held between Celtic officials and Atletico PR in late August, and any move will now have to take place in January.
As the Campeonato Brasileiro finishes at the end of the year, this might be most convenient for the 23-year-old, who would not come cheaply.
South American sources suggest Celtic are willing to pay $8 million (£5.22 million) for Kleberson, should the talks reach a positive conclusion, but The Bhoys need the go-ahead from their shareholders before cementing any move.
"The moment this administrative problem is decided, it will be all closed," suggested Zenlucas.
"Nobody makes business for more than $20 million nowadays.
"I can affirm that Petraglia is one of the best traders of players in Brazil."
Yet Petraglia has cast doubt on the stories by insisting there is nothing concrete to report on Celtic's interest.
